W Rumi chcą zamienić łąki w Błonia Janowskie. Miejski samorząd chce zagospodarować 25-hektarowy teren u styku ulic Pomorskiej i Gdańskiej. Teraz to nieużytki, po których spacerują głównie właściciele psów ze swoimi pupilami.
– Chcemy wykorzystać walory środowiskowe terenu uwzględniając przy tym bliskość ujęć wody – mówi burmistrz Rumi Michał Pasieczny.
W planach jest wygrodzenie parku psich aktywności, mają też powstać: plac zabaw, miejsca do rozpalania ognisk, zewnętrzna siłownia oraz strefy do wypoczynku i gier terenowych. Samorządowcy z Rumi wzorują się na gdańskim Parku Reagana, gdzie byli już z wizytą studyjną. Wstępną koncepcję zagospodarowania Błoni Janowskich opublikowano na facebookowym profilu miejskiego samorządu. Rumia stara się o 85 procent dofinansowanie z Narodowego Funduszu Ochrony Środowiska i Gospodarki Wodnej. Prace miałyby się rozpocząć w przyszłym roku i potrwać 3 lata.
