W Gdyni postępują prace przy budowie buspasów. Powstaje ich w sumie pięć – dwa w kierunku Rumi, trzy na pasie do centrum miasta. To część zmian, które mają zachęcić do korzystania z transportu zbiorowego.
– Rozpoczęte w kwietniu prace mają potrwać do końca roku, ale już latem będzie widać efekty – mówił dziś w audycji Dzień Dobry Kaszuby Hubert Kołodziejski, dyrektor ZKM Gdynia.
Nowe pasy do autobusów zlokalizowano na Morskiej między ulicami Zakręt do Oksywia a Zespołem Szkół Hotelarsko-Gastronomicznych. Przebudowane zostaną też chodniki i ścieżka rowerowa oraz istniejące już zatoki autobusowe. Buspasy mają usprawnić ruch autobusów, co ma się przełożyć na zwiększenie liczby pasażerów. To jeden ze sposobów na uatrakcyjnienie transportu publicznego. Buspasy na Morskiej będą kosztować 21 i pół mln zł.
