W Wejherowie amatorzy parkouru mają do dyspozycji nowy plac do ćwiczeń. Wybudowano go na osiedlu Przyjaźni w ramach Budżetu Obywatelskiego.
– Plac urządzono tak, by wykonywanie ćwiczeń w biegu było bezpieczne – mówi wiceprezydent Wejherowa Beata Rutkiewicz.
Parkour to pochodząca z Francji forma aktywności fizycznej. Główną ideą jest pokonywanie przeszkód w jak najprostszy i najszybszy sposób. Plac Parkour składa się z części betonowej i stalowej, umożliwia wszechstronny i bezpieczny rozwój siły mięśniowej, gibkości i koordynacji ruchowej. To jeden ze zwycięskich projektów wejherowskiego budżetu obywatelskiego. Urządzenie toru przeszkód kosztowało blisko 140 tys. zł. To część zmian na osiedlu Przyjaźni, w ramach których ma tam powstać „Plac sportów miejskich”.
