Rumia ściąga inwestorów dzięki spółce powołanej przez samorząd
Rumia ściąga inwestorów – zajmuje się tym spółka powołana przez miejski samorząd. W najbliższym czasie celem jest sprzedaż 26 hektarów i uatrakcyjnienie terenów przemysłowych. To działki wzdłuż ulicy Kazimierskiej, na granicy z Gminą Kosakowo.

W przyszłości ma być zapleczem Portu Gdynia, tzw. doliną logistyczną. Miejska spółka współpracuje z Agencją Rozwoju Pomorza i złożyła wniosek na 7 mln złotych m.in. na dofinansowanie budowy dróg dojazdowych do działek. Miasto zainwestowało milion złotych w odwodnienie terenów i wraz z PEWIK-iem pracuje nad ich skanalizowaniem. Sprzedaż tych działek przedsiębiorcom to duża korzyść dla budżetu miasta i jego mieszkańców – wyjaśnia Agnieszka Rodak. Do końca 2020 roku tereny przemysłowe w Rumi mają być kompleksowo przygotowane dla inwestorów. Warunkiem uzyskania wsparcia z Agencji Rozwoju Pomorza jest sprzedaż tych gruntów do połowy 2023 roku.
