W Rumi apelują do mieszkańców o pomoc w walce z wandalami
W Rumi apelują do mieszkańców miasta o pomoc w walce z wandalami. Chodzi o notoryczne niszczenie wiat przystankowych. Na ich naprawę od 2015-go roku miejski samorząd wydał ponad 65 tysięcy złotych.
Zdarza się wprawdzie, że zniszczenie jest skutkiem wypadku, jednak większość to celowe dewastacje. Tylko w tym roku odnotowano 21 wybitych szyb i 2 zniszczone ławeczki. Wiaty niszczone są przede wszystkim przy ulicach: Gdańskiej i Dąbrowskiego. Dzięki monitoringowi udaje się niejednokrotnie namierzyć sprawców i samorząd odzyskuje część środków na pokrycie strat. Na facebookowym profilu Miasta Rumia urzędnicy pytają mieszkańców – co ich zdaniem mogłoby pomóc w rozwiązaniu problemu. Jest też apel, by w miarę możliwości reagowali na takie incydenty dzwoniąc do straży miejskiej lub wydziału inżynierii miejskiej.
