Strażacy na całych Kaszubach walczą z pożarami traw i apelują o ostrożność i rozsądek!. Sprawcom tych podpaleń grozi mandat do 5 tysięcy złotych. W tym roku wypalanie traw rozpoczęło się dużo wcześniej niż w latach poprzednich. Wszystko przez łagodną zimą i utrzymującą się od kilku dni wiosenną pogodę. Wielu z nas wciąż wierzy, że wypalanie użyźni glebę i zapewni szybszy wzrost młodej trawy. Niestety jest zupełnie odwrotnie – wypalanie stwarza zagrożenie pożarami dla okolicznych lasów, duże zadymienie a przede wszystkim wyjaławia ziemię – przypomina komendant Powiatowej Straży Pożarnej w Kościerzynie Tomasz Klinkosz. Za wypalanie traw grożą sankcje karne. Policja lub straż miejska ma prawo nałożyć mandat do kwoty pięciu tysięcy złotych. Rolnikom wypalającym trawy Agencja Restrukturyzacji i Modernizacji Rolnictwa może odebrać również część dopłat bezpośrednich.
