Kociarnia za milion złotych powstała w gdyńskim „Ciapkowie”
Nowy pawilon w Schronisku dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt pomieści 180 kotów.
– Nie możemy zapominać o najsłabszych, czyli zwierzętach wyrzucanych z domów czy tych, które uległy wypadkom – mówi Michał Guć, wiceprezydent Gdyni.
Oprócz części adopcyjne jest też weterynaryjna, gdzie ranne koty przechodzą zabiegi operacyjne i kwarantannę.Ta kociarnia to spełnienie naszych najskrytszych marzeń – podkreśla Katarzyna Kownacka, kierownik schroniska OTOZ Animals Ciapkowo w Gdyni. Inwestycja warta milion złotych w całości sfinansowana została z budżetu miasta Gdyni. W celu regulowania populacji kotów w tym mieście od lat prowadzony jest program ich sterylizacji i kastracji. Wydział Środowiska Urzędu Miasta Gdyni wydaje również drewniane, ocieplane domki osobom, które dbają o wolno żyjące koty.
