WEJHEROWO: Liczba kamer ma wzrosnąć dwukrotnie
Wejherowo rozbudowuje sieć miejskiego monitoringu. Liczba ulicznych kamer ma wzrosnąć dwukrotnie. W tym celu władze miasta już podpisały umowę na zaprojektowanie i rozbudowę światłowodu w mieście. Inwestycja pozwoli zainstalować kolejne 32 kamery ale również umożliwi połączenie jednostek administracyjnych miasta i szkół samorządowych. Główne centrum monitoringu nadal będzie w siedzibie Straży Miejskiej w Wejherowie. Jak mówi jej komendant Zenon Hinca – kamery będą zainstalowane w miejscach, gdzie najczęściej dochodzi do przestępstw. Z danych straży miejskiej wynika, że przestępczość w miejscach gdzie zainstalowane są kamery spadła o nawet 80%. W tym roku na rozbudowę monitoringu władze Wejherowa przeznaczyły 237 tysięcy złotych.
