Ponad 700 osób pobiegło „Tropem Wilczym” w Rumi
Ponad 700 osób pobiegło „Tropem Wilczym” w Rumi – w „Biegu Pamięci Żołnierzy Wyklętych”. Była to jedna z największych pod względem frekwencji edycja tego cyklu sportowego w Polsce.
W Rumi w sobotę pobiegli seniorzy, młodzież, rodzicom towarzyszyły nawet niespełna dwuletnie dzieci. Trasa wiodła ulicami: Żwirki i Wigury, Roszczynialskiego, Starowiejską, Wybickiego i Mickiewicza do mety w MOSiRze. Dystans był symboliczny. 1963 metry to nawiązanie do roku, w którym zamordowano ostatniego Żołnierza Wyklętego – Józefa Franczaka „Lalka”. Najszybsi uczestnicy ukończyli bieg w zaledwie kilka minut, czas nie był jednak najważniejszy. Celem było upamiętnienie żołnierzy, którzy nie złożyli broni po zakończeniu II wojny światowej uznając Związek Radziecki za okupanta. Bieg Pamięci Żołnierzy Wyklętych zorganizowano w tym roku w 333 miejscowościach w Polsce i ośmiu za granicą.
