Miliardowe inwestycje w Porcie Gdynia do 2020 roku
Około miliard złotych mają kosztować inwestycje w Porcie Gdynia do 2020 roku – poinformowała spółka. Powstanie m.in. większa obrotnica i publiczny terminal promowy. W ubiegłym roku w gdyńskim porcie pobito rekord przeładunków – ponad 21 mln ton. To o prawie 9 procent więcej niż w ubiegłym roku, co daje najlepsze tempo rozwoju wśród polskich portów podkreślał prezes Zarządu Morskiego Portu Gdynia S.A. Adam Meller. Dla dalszego rozwoju potrzebna jest nowa infrastruktura. W drugim kwartale tego roku ma się zakończyć budowa obrotnicy, dzięki której do portu będą mogły wpływać statki o 100 metrów dłuższe niż obecnie – czyli do 400-u metrów. Strategiczne znaczenie będzie też miało pogłębienie akwenu, budowa publicznego terminala promowego i przebudowa nabrzeży. Do 2020 roku na inwestycje spółka planuje wydać prawie 1 mld zł. Jak poinformował prezes zarządu w ubiegłym roku m.in. z podatków i ceł do budżetu państwa z Portu Gdynia trafiło ponad 6 i pół mld zł.
