BRUSY: Chcą w szczególny sposób upamiętnić Józefa Chełmowskiego
Brusy chcą w szczególny sposób upamiętnić zmarłego w ubiegłym roku mistrza sztuki ludowej Józefa Chełmowskiego. Podczas szóstego Balu Charytatywnego środki przeznaczą na ufundowanie specjalnego nagrobka dla artysty. Józef Chełmowski nazywany był człowiekiem renesansu i kaszubskim Leonardem da Vinczi. Rzeźbił, malował, a przede wszystkim był filozofem ludowym. Mieszkał w Brusach Jagliach, gdzie wokół swego domu stworzył muzeum na wolnym powietrzu. Spuścizną artysty zaopiekowała się rodzina, a w staraniach o upamiętnienie wielkiego rzeźbiarza włączają się władze gminy. Podczas organizowanego corocznie przez burmistrza Brus balu charytatywnego zebrane środki przeznaczone będą na ufundowanie specjalnego nagrobka – mówi burmistrz Witold Ossowski. Bal Charytatywny odbędzie się w Brusach 1 marca. Dar Serca od pary wyceniono na kwotę 200 złotych. Osoby zainteresowane więcej informacji uzyskają w Urzędzie Miejskim w Brusach. Dodatkowo budowę nagrobka można wesprzeć wpłacając środki na konto Zrzeszenia Kaszubsko – Pomorskiego z dopiskiem „Nagrobek śp. Józefa Chełmowskiego”.
