Jeden z Domów Dziecka w Kościerzynie zostanie zamknięty
Powiat kościerski zamyka jeden z trzech działających w Kościerzynie Domów Dziecka. Powodem jest drastycznie zmniejszająca się liczba dzieci umieszczanych w placówkach opiekuńczo-wychowawczych.
Obecnie w Domu Dziecka nr 3 w Kościerzynie mieszka 10 wychowanków. Po likwidacji placówki zostaną przeniesieni do dwóch pozostałych. Pracę straci też 6 wychowawców. – To była trudna decyzja, ale konieczna – mówiła na sesji rady powiatu Aldona Plichta, dyrektor Centrum Administracyjnego Placówek Opiekuńczo-Wychowawczych w Kościerzynie. Decyzję o likwidacji Placówki Opiekuńczo-Wychowawczej nr 3 podjęła na ostatniej sesji Rada Powiatu Kościerskiego. Wśród powodów zmniejszającej się liczby dzieci wymieniano program 500 plus oraz osiągnięcie pełnoletności przez wielu wychowanków. Placówka Opiekuńczo-Wychowawcza nr 3 w Kościerzynie będzie działać do końca lutego przyszłego roku.
