Będzie mniej trujących dymów w Kościerzynie
Dymy z kościerskich kominów tej zimy mogą być nieco mniej dotkliwe. Tylko w tym roku dzięki dotacjom z Wojewódzkiego Funduszu Ochrony Środowiska w mieście zlikwidowano 61 pieców węglowych w domach jednorodzinnych i w dwóch wspólnotach mieszkaniowych.
– To na pewno ograniczy tak zwaną niską emisję, która jest najbardziej groźna dla mieszkańców – mówi Ewa Chmielecka z Urzędu Miasta.
Kościerzyna od wielu lat jest w niechlubnej czołówce pomorskich miast o najbardziej zanieczyszczonym powietrzu. Sytuację od tego roku poprawiło wybudowanie obwodnicy, która wyprowadziła ruch tranzytowy z centrum miasta, a tym samym zmniejszyła emisję spalin. Dodatkowo kolejni mieszkańcy decydują się na likwidację pieców węglowych. Najwięcej zamienia je na przyłączenie do miejskiej sieci ciepłowniczej, nieco mniej do sieci gazowej i pojedyncze osoby decydują się na montaż pomp ciepła. Na wymianę pieców węglowych w ramach tegorocznego programu „KAWKA” miasto pozyskało z Wojewódzkiego Funduszu Ochrony Środowiska 760 tysięcy złotych. Dofinansowanie dla mieszkańców wyniosło 45 procent inwestycji.
