Garnizon Wojsk Obrony Terytorialnej powstanie w Kościerzynie
To tutaj szkoleni będą żołnierze-ochotnicy pomorskiej brygady nowych sił zbrojnych, które tworzy w całej Polsce Ministerstwo Obrony Narodowej. Decyzję dzisiaj przekazała starosta Alicja Żurawska.
– Obiekty mają być przekazane pod koniec tego roku – zapowiada starosta Alicja Żurawska.
Garnizon powstanie na terenie dawnego internatu Powiatowego Zespołu Szkół nr 3 w Kościerzynie. Ministerstwo zakupi powiatowe budynki za kwotę półtora mln złotych. Służba w Wojskach Obrony Terytorialnej będzie trwała od roku do sześciu lat. W tym czasie żołnierze będą spotykać się na ćwiczeniach przynajmniej raz w miesiącu w jeden weekend i dodatkowo raz w roku na dwa tygodnie. Kościerski garnizon ma powstać na początku 2018 roku.
