ZKM w Gdyni podsumowuje 25 lat swojej działalności
Podwojona długość linii i coraz nowsze autobusy i trolejbusy – Zarząd Komunikacji Miejskiej w Gdyni podsumowuje 25 lat swojej działalności. To jednostka powołana w 1992 roku do obsługi i organizacji komunikacji miejskiej w Gdyni oraz sąsiednich gminach: Rumi, Sopocie, a także Kosakowie, Szemudzie, Wejherowie i Żukowie.
– Jesteśmy pionierem w tej dziedzinie w Polsce – mówił w porannej audycji Marcin Gromadzki, rzecznik gdyńskiego ZKM.
Obecnie sieć ZKM obejmuje 92 linie, na które w godzinach szczytu codziennie wyjeżdża prawie 300 pojazdów, w tym większość niskopodłogowych i coraz częściej z napędem bateryjnym. W planach jest zakup kolejnych 85 nowych pojazdów, na które ZKM pozyskało aż 103 mln złotych unijnego dofinansowania. Dzięki unijnemu dofinansowaniu, gdyński ZKM zakupi 55 nowych autobusów i i 30 trolejbusów. Pierwsze pojazdy mają wyjechać na ulice Gdyni w przyszłym roku.
