Uwaga na śliskie chodniki. Straż Miejska apeluje do właścicieli o odśnieżanie i sypanie piaskiem bądź solą chodników, które przylegają do naszych posesji. Za niewykonanie tego obowiązku grozi mandat stu złotowy. A jeśli ktoś poślizgnie się na nieposypanym chodniku i złamie sobie nogę, będzie mógł żądać od właściciela nieruchomości odszkodowania. Zgodnie z ustawą o utrzymaniu i czystościw gminach, na właścicielach i zarządcach nieruchomości spoczywa obowiązek utrzymania chodnika w czystości, a w zimie na jego odśnieżaniu i posypywaniu piaskiem, usuwaniu lodu i błota. Za chodnik uznaje się wydzieloną część drogi publicznej służącą do ruchu pieszego, położoną bezpośrednio przy granicy nieruchomości. Koordynatorem w sprawach odśnieżania w Rumi jest Straż Miejska – mówi jej komendant Roman Świlski. I dodajmy, że na opornych mieszkańców, zgodnie z prawem, za nieodśnieżony i nie – posypany piaskiem chodnik, może być nałożony mandat w kwocie stu złotych.
