Port w Gdyni dostanie z Unii Europejskiej ponad 210 mln zł
Pieniądze będą przeznaczone na inwestycje o wartości ponad 404 mln zł i mają być realizowane do 2015 roku. Przedstawiciele portu i Centrum Unijnych Projektów Transportowych podpisali cztery umowy. Ponad 39 milionów wsparcia port otrzymał na przebudowę intermodalnego terminala kolejowego – co zwiększy jego efektywność i przyczyni się do zmniejszenia ruchu ciężkich pojazdów samochodowych na drogach. 49 milionów dotacji przyznano na przebudowę Nabrzeża Szwedzkiego, plan zakłada m.in jego lepsze dostosowanie do przewozów kolejowych. 50 mln złotych unijnego wsparcia pomoże w zagospodarowaniu Nabrzeża Bułgarskiego – powstaną m.in nowe drogi, plac manewrowo – składowy, infrastruktura sieciowa. To jeden z najistotniejszych i najpoważniejszych – pod względem finansowym – projekt inwestycyjny gdyńskiego portu, który ma zwiększyć możliwości przeładunkowe w jego zachodniej części. Ostatnia podpisana umowa na dofinansowanie dotyczy 72 i pół mln zł na poprawienie dostępu drogowego i kolejowego we wshodniej części Portu Gdynia. Unijne dofinansowanie pokryje ponad połowę kosztu inwestycji wartych 404 mln zł. Resztę Zarząd Morskiego Portu w Gdyni pokryje ze środków własnych.
