374. urodziny świętowało w sobotę Wejherowo
W Wejherowie hucznie obchodzono w sobotę Dzień Jakuba – 374 rocznicę założenia osady Wola Wejherowska, która stała się zalążkiem miasta.
– Tętniący życiem rynek to najlepszy prezent dla naszego miasta – mówi prezydent Wejherowa Krzysztof Hildebrandt.
W tym roku nie było historycznych rekonstrukcji, postawiono na koncerty. Gwiazdą wieczoru był zespół Wilki. Sygnał do zabawy dał wystrzał z armatki Bractwa Kurkowego.
W Dzień Jakuba wręczane są nagrody rady miejskiej dla zaangażowanych w życie Wejherowa. Medale Róży trafiły do Mateusza Ostaszewskiego za wywalczenie tytułu mistrza świata strongmenów, i wieloletniej społeczniczki Zofii Kusterskiej. Najwyższe odznaczenie – Statuetkę Wejhera – przyznano artyście – rzeźbiarzowi Zygmuntowi Leśniowskiemu.
