Prace przy budowie tzw. Węzła Kwiatowa w Wejherowie rozpoczną się w czerwcu. Miejski samorząd podpisał umowę z wykonawcą pierwszego etapu.

Węzeł powstanie przy dworcu PKP. Ma m.in. zlikwidować zatory powstające w tym rejonie przez zamykane rogatki na przejeździe kolejowym. W pierwszym etapie prace rozpoczną się u zbiegu ulic Kopernika i 10 lutego, potem u styku Dworcowej, 10 lutego i Kwiatowej powstanie rondo, skąd ulica Kwiatowa prowadzić będzie do wiaduktu pod torami kolejowymi i dalej do ronda im. Solidarności w drodze krajowej nr 6. Na budowę wiaduktu, ronda i ulic podpisano umowę z firmą Skanska, która w przetargu pokonała 6 konkurentów. Prace rozpoczną się w czerwcu, mają potrwać do listopada 2019 roku. Koszt pierwszego etapu to 22 mln zł, współinwestorem jest gdyńskiej Przedsiębiorstwo Wodociągów i Kanalizacji.
