W Gdyni powstanie Park Centralny – miejski zieleniec z podziemnym parkingiem
W Gdyni powstanie Park Centralny. Za trzy lata zieleniec przy alei Józefa Piłsudskiego zyska zupełnie nowe oblicze – zapowiadają władze miasta.
Projektowany miejski park otrzymał nazwę, która budzi skojarzenia z Nowym Jorkiem i tamtejszą zieloną oazą. W gdyńskim Parku Centralnym każdy ma znaleźć coś dla siebie: od cienia pod drzewem na spokojną lekturę – na okazji do sportowej aktywności kończąc. Powstanie też podziemny parking na prawie 300 miejsc. – Gdynia zyska kolejną wielofunkcyjną i ogólnodostępną przestrzeń – mówi prezydent miasta Wojciech Szczurek. Miejski park powstanie na trzy hektarowym terenie między aleją Piłsudskiego i ulicami: Świętojańską i Legionów. Jest tam już częściowo zagospodarowany skwer ze skateparkiem. Centralną częścią parku będzie staw. Powstanie kładka, pole do gry w bule, punkt informacji turystycznej i gastronomiczny oraz trasy dla biegaczy i rolkarzy. Zimą czynna będzie ślizgawka. Szacowany koszt inwestycji to 35 mln zł, dlatego samorząd będzie szukał zewnętrznego dofinansowania. Park Centralny w Gdyni ma być gotowy za trzy lata.
