Maciej Hirsz z Kartuz wygrał prestiżowe zawody w Republice Południowej Afryki
Najsilniejsi strongmani na świecie są na Kaszubach. Niedawno zawody w Ameryce sygnowane nazwiskiem Arnolda Scharzeneggera wygrał Mateusz Ostaszewski z Wejherowa, a teraz ich afrykański odpowiednik wygrał Maciej Hirsz z Kartuz. Zawody odbyły się w RPA.
Siłacz z Kartuz od początku zawodów plasował się w czołówce. Musiał zmierzyć się z czterema morderczymi konkurencjami m.in. martwym ciągiem i nosidłami ważącymi 340 kg. Jak mówi Maciej Hirsz zwycięstwo zawdzięcza intensywnym treningom i pomocy Mateusza Ostaszewskiego. Pierwsze miejsce zajął mimo kontuzji. Dzięki wygranej w kategorii amatorskiej Maciej Hirsz wywalczył przepustkę do kategorii zawodowców przyszłorocznej edycji Arnold Classic w Afryce, oraz na Mistrzostwa Świata w USA. W najbliższą niedzielę strongman zaprezentuje się przed własną publicznością na zawodach w Kartuzach.
