Była to już ósma edycja zawodów, których oprócz popularyzacji żeglarstwa głównym celem jest integracja mieszkańców Wejherowa, Redy, Rumi, Trójmiasta i całej Nordy.
Regaty organizuje Stowarzyszenie Gmin Małe Trójmiasto Kaszubskie. Dwudniowe zawody rozegrano na trasie Gdynia – Hel, wystartowało w nich 7 samorządowych załóg. Po pierwszym dniu szansę na zwycięstwo zachowały 3 drużyny – oprócz rumskiej także zespoły z Helu i Wejherowa. Ostatni bieg zadecydował, że przechodni puchar TrójCup trafił do Rumi.
