Ponad 34 miliony złotych dofinansowania na węzeł Karwiny
Ponad 34 miliony zł dofinansowania na węzeł Karwiny otrzymała Gdynia. Będzie on zlokalizowany przy powstającym właśnie przystanku Pomorskiej Kolei Metropolitalnej – u zbiegu ulic Wielkopolskiej, Sopockiej i Strzelców.
– Niezbędne będzie przearanżowanie skrzyżowań i kolidującej infrastruktury, by usprawnić funkcjonowanie komunikacji zbiorowej i dojazd do węzła – wyjaśniał wiceprezydent Gdyni Marek Stępa.
Unijną dotację na ten cel przyznał Zarząd Województwa Pomorskiego – pokryje ona nieco ponad 63 procent kosztów kwalifikowanych całego projektu, szacowanego na prawie 55 mln zł. Powstanie wielopoziomowy parking, ścieżki rowerowe, przebudowane i rozbudowane zostaną ulice. Obecnie węzeł Karwiny jest projektowany przez firmę Transprojekt Gdański. Rozpoczęcie robót budowlanych planowane jest na wrzesień przyszłego roku, a ich zakończenie – na grudzień 2021.
