Ruszyła kampania „Stop Pożarom Traw’” organizowana przez Państwową Straż Pożarną. Po raz kolejny z początkiem wiosny druhowie chcą edukować i uświadamiać, że wypalanie traw może być niebezpieczne dla życia i zdrowia ludzi.
– Kartuscy strażacy wyjeżdżali do gaszenia płonących łąk w tym roku już pięć razy – mówi zastępca komendanta powiatowego PSP w Kartuzach Fryderyk Mach.
Zagrażają lasom, domom i zabudowaniom gospodarczym, bezpowrotnie niszczą faunę i florę. Kodeks wykroczeń przewiduje grzywnę w wysokości do 5 tysięcy złotych, a za spowodowanie zagrożenia życia lub mienia grozi nawet do 10. lat więzienia. Rolnicy powinni liczyć się z utratą dopłat. W ubiegłym roku w całej Polsce strażacy wyjeżdżali do pożarów traw prawie 37 tysięcy razy. Odnotowali 6 ofiar śmiertelnych i 81 rannych.
