W Gdyni zmodernizują kanalizację deszczową
Gdynia rozbuduje kanalizację deszczową – miasto pozyskało 20 mln zł unijnej dotacji z programu Infrastruktura i Środowisko. To dobra wiadomość dla mieszkańców dzielnic, które do tej pory narażone były na podtopienia.
Rozwijanie systemu gospodarowania wodami opadowymi – czyli deszczówką – ma przeciwdziałać efektom coraz częściej występujących gwałtownych ulew. Narodowy Fundusz Ochrony Środowiska i Gospodarki Wodnej przyznał projektowi maksymalne dofinansowanie. To oznacza, że do pozyskanych 20 mln zł Gdynia dołoży 4,5 mln zł ze swojej kasy. Wybudowana lub przebudowana zostanie kanalizacja deszczowa o długości prawie 5 km. Powstaną także dwa nowe zbiorniki retencyjne, a dwa betonowe dotąd boiska przyszkolne zyskają nową nawierzchnię, która umożliwi wsiąkanie wody w podłoże. Obszar, który zostanie poddany modernizacji, to niemal 4,5 km2. Na terenie tym mieszka i pracuje ok. 40. tysięcy osób. Nowe urządzenia i sieci kanalizacji deszczowej zyska Chylonia, Pustki Cisowskie-Demptowo, Działki Leśnie i Śródmieście.
Umowa w sprawie dotacji została już podpisana. Prace powinny zostać zakończone do końca września przyszłego roku.
