Rezonator ma pomóc oczyścić jezioro Karczemne – najbardziej zanieczyszczony akwen w Kartuzach. Urządzenie ma zapobiec zakwitowi sinic, przez które wiosną i latem w mieście pojawia się nieprzyjemny zapach.
– Tą metodą z powodzeniem oczyszczano jeziora na południu Polski – komentuje burmistrz Kartuz Grzegorz Gołuński.
Rezonator wodny ma przywrócić w naturalny sposób ekologiczną równowagę zbiornika bez użycia środków chemicznych. Urządzenie zwiększa ilość tlenu w wodzie dzięki użyciu fal elektromagnetycznych, technologia wykorzystuje energię słoneczną, przez co jest tania w eksploatacji. Jeśli metoda się sprawdzi, to rezonator użyty zostanie także w pozostałych kartuskich jeziorach. Na efekty przyjdzie jednak poczekać pół roku. Gmina zapłaci firmie oferującej usługę około 300 tysięcy złotych. Gdyby samorząd zdecydował się na kupno własnego rezonatora musiałby zapłacić 1,5 mln dolarów.
