Do Gdyni wróci dowództwo marynarki wojennej
Imię Lecha Kaczyńskiego nadano Bibliotece Głównej Akademii Marynarki Wojennej. Na niedzielnych uroczystościach obecna była córka zmarłego prezydenta Marta Kaczyńska oraz Minister Obrony Narodowej Antoni Macierewicz – który ogłosił, że dowództwo Marynarki Wojennej po latach wraca do Gdyni.
Podczas nadania podkreślano zasługi Lecha Kaczyńskiego dla polskiej armii – takie jak stworzenie nowego kształtu personalnego, który miał odrzucać spuściznę komunistyczną.Z kolei decyzję o powrocie dowództwa marynarki z Warszawy do Gdyni ogłosił Antoni Macierewicz. Dowództwo Marynarki Wojennej jako jednostka zostało zlikwidowane i od 2014 roku jego rolę pełni Dowództwo Generalne Rodzajów Sił Zbrojnych z siedzibą w Warszawie. Wcześniej Centrum Operacji Morskich, sztabem i pionem szkolenia zarządzał admirał floty. Zwierzchnik MON nie podał na razie szczegółów zapowiadanego powrotu.
