Rozpoczął się okres lęgowy ptaków. Aż do października nie powinno się wycinać drzew, które są ich domem – apelują urzędnicy. Za złamanie przepisów grożą sankcje karne.
– Dotyczy to zarówno terenów chronionych jak i prywatnych posesji – mówi Olga Goitowska z Urzędu Miejskiego w Kartuzach.
Okres pomiędzy 1. marca a 15. października to czas, w którym ptaki dobierają się w pary, składają jaja i wychowują młode. Jest to też czas specjalnej ochrony ich siedlisk i miejsc gniazdowania. W tym szczególnym czasie nie można ściąć drzewa, na którym bytują ptaki, bez uzyskania odpowiedniego zezwolenia.
Tymczasem PiS przygotowuje się do kolejnej nowelizacji przepisów dotyczących wycinki drzew. W jej myśl nadal będzie można ściąć drzewo na własnej działce, ale fakt ten trzeba będzie zgłosić w Urzędzie Gminy. Nie będzie też można na tej nieruchomości prowadzić działalności gospodarczej przez pięciu lat od dokonania zgłoszenia.
