W Rumi trzy miejskie podstawówki wchłoną gimnazja, przejma także ich obwody – to propozycja miejskiego samorządu. Reorganizację wymusza reforma oświatowa.
– Od pierwszego września w mieście będą więc działać 4 duże szkoły podstawowe, wszystkie z 8 klasami – wyjaśnia burmistrz Rumi Michał Pasieczny.
Samorząd Rumi nie przewiduje zwolnień nauczycieli. W pierwszym roku szkolnym od wprowadzenia reformy oświatowej w życie spodziewany jest wręcz wzrost zatrudnienia. Propozycję rumskich samorządowców zaakceptowali już związkowcy z Solidarności, teraz projekt czeka na opinię pomorskiego kuratora oświaty.
