Sukcesem zakończyła się zbiórka na leczenie Kornelka z Wielkiego Klincza. 1 mln 800 tysięcy złotych uzbierano w nieco ponad 3 miesiące na Kaszubach i Pomorzu.
Kornelek ma niespełna 3 lata, przez większość swojego życia walczy z nowotworem oka. Próby leczenia w Polsce nie powiodły się, groziła mu amputacja gałki ocznej. Rodzice nie poddali się, w walce o zdrowie synka otrzymali olbrzymie wsparcie. Koncerty, festyny, kwesty i aukcje charytatywne zaowocowały zebraniem zawrotnej sumy potrzebnej na leczenie w klinice w Stanach Zjednoczonych.
Kornelek pojechał tam pod koniec stycznia, mimo że brakowało pół miliona złotych, jest już pod opieką nowojorskich lekarzy. Rodzice na Facebooku poinformowali o przekroczeniu progu 1 mln 800 tys zł. Dziękują darczyńcom i Fundacji Rycerze i Księżniczki. Na jej konto wciąż wpływają pieniądze dla malucha z Wielkiego Klincza – przydadzą się w dalszym leczeniu. Trwają aukcje charytatywne, odbędą się też zaplanowane koncerty – jak 19 lutego szkole podstawowej w Skarszewach.
