Zmarł Daniel Czapiewski – znany kaszubski przedsiębiorca
Zmarł Daniel Czapiewski – znany kaszubski przedsiębiorca, twórca Centrum Edukacji i Promocji Regionu w Szymbarku. Miał 45 lat. Od dwóch dni walczył o życie w szpitalu w Starogardzie Gdanskim. Niestety tę walkę przegrał dzisiaj w nocy. Był jednym z najbardziej zasłużonych Kaszubów. Od ponad 20 lat prowadził firmę Danmar znaną w całej Polsce z produkcji domów drewnianych. Stworzył Danielową Dolinę, uznaną za najpiękniejsze osiedle i najbardziej kaszubskie na całym świecie. Był twórcą Centrum Edukacji i Promocji Regionu w Szymbarku, które co roku odwiedza kilkadziesiąt tysięcy turystów. Dzięki niemu wielu mogło zobaczyć autentyczny Dom Sybiraka, dom do góry nogami, który rozsławił Kaszuby, czy zasiąść przy Stole Noblisty i napić się kaszubskiego piwa. Znany był ze swoich niecodziennych pomysłów. Od 10 lat 6 grudnia organizował Zjazdy Mikołajów w Szymbarku. W tym roku miał być to jubileuszowy 10-ty zlot. Niestety choroba pokrzyżowała plany. Zjazd Mikołajów został odwołany. Pogrzeb świętej pamięci Daniela Czapiewskiego odbędzie się 7 grudnia o godz. 12 w parafii Przemienienia Pańskiego w Somoninie.
Smutek, żal niedowierzanie. Odszedł Kaszuba o wielkim sercu” – tak o Danielu Czapiewskim mówią przyjaciele.
