Odcinkowy pomiar prędkości działa już na Rekowskiej Górce
Na Rekowskiej Górce koło Redy kierowcy zwalniają do 60 km/h. Działa już tam odcinkowy pomiar prędkości. To pierwsza w Polsce instalacja, która została wybudowana na drogach wojewódzkich.
Ma poprawić bezpieczeństwo na krętej, stromej trasie – części 216 z Redy do Helu. Dochodziło tam do wielu wypadków, w latach 2012-2014 zginęło w nich 5 osób a 14 zostało rannych. By zapobiec podobnym tragediom w czerwcu na Rekowskiej Górce zlikwidowano pas pod górę w kierunku Pucka – montując barierę energochłonną. Teraz uruchomiono też Odcinkowy Pomiar Prędkości. To system, który oblicza czas jaki upłynął od chwili minięcia pierwszej bramki do momentu przejechania przez drugą. Na tej podstawie wylicza średnią prędkość przejazdu na monitorowanym odcinku. Jeśli będzie ona większa, niż pozwalają limity, kierowca otrzyma mandat. Na Rekowskiej Górce obowiązuje jednolite ograniczenie prędkości do 60 km/h.
