Nie będzie na razie „małej obwodnicy” Kościerzyny
Władze Kościerzyny wycofują się z budowy drogi „Północ”. Tak zwana „mała obwodnica miasta” w ciągu trzech najbliższych lat miała połączyć krajową „20” z drogą wojewódzką 214. Uchwałę o wycofaniu projektu radni przyjęli większością głosów.
Droga „Północ” miała odciążyć zatłoczone centrum i poprawić płynność ruchu w mieście. Według wstępnego projektu 3 i pół km „mała obwodnica” miała prowadzić ulicami: Kalinową, Paderewskiego, Kopernika i Zieloną. Rok temu radni podjęli uchwałę o realizacji inwestycji z programu tak zwanych schetynówek. Na ostatniej sesji zmienili zdanie i wycofali się z projektu. Zdaniem burmistrza Michała Majewskiego ponownej analizie trzeba poddać przebieg proponowanej drogi i jej finansowanie. Przeciwny rezygnacji z inwestycji był również radny Paweł Liedtke. Za wycofaniem się z projektu głosowało 12. radnych, 7. było przeciwnych.
