Niebieska Gdynia w Światowym Dniu Cukrzycy
Do akcji włączają się też partnerzy programu PoZdro! – w Warszawie, Lublinie i Wrocławiu. Dzisiaj obchodzimy Światowy Dzień Cukrzycy – by zachęcić do profilaktyki i przypomnieć jakie zagrożenia dla zdrowia niesie ta choroba.
Co 6 sekund na świecie ktoś umiera z powodu cukrzycy, jedna na dwie osoby z cukrzycą nie wie nawet, że jest chora. Cukrzycy typu 2 można zapobiec – przede wszystkim poprzez wczesną profilaktykę, badania przesiewowe. Myślą przewodnią tegorocznej edycji jest: „Zobacz Cukrzycę: Działajmy już dziś, by zmienić jutro”. Niebiesko w ramach tej akcji będzie dziś w Gdyni, Warszawie, Lublinie i Wrocławiu – gdzie realizowany jest pięcioletni program PoZdro! Objęto nim uczniów pierwszych klas gimnazjów i ich rodziny – to badania, opieka specjalistów, edukacja oraz zajęcia sportowe.
W Gdyni na niebiesko zabłyśnie dziś Stadion Miejski, InfoBox, kolor niebieski wraz z plakatami kampanii społecznej królują też w gdyńskich trolejbusach.
