111 urodziny obchodzi dzisiaj najpopularniejsza maskotka na świecie – czyli po prostu – pluszowy miś. To nieodłączny przyjaciel najmłodszych, przytulanka do snu i towarzysz wielu zabaw. O to zresztą zapytaliśmy samych zainteresowanych. A my przypomnijmy legendę misia, która sięga 1902 roku. W Stanach Zjednoczonych prezydent Theodor Roosvelt podczas polowania nie pozwolił zabić małego niedźwiadka. Sprawę opisały media. Powstała nawet karykatura, którą wykorzystał właściciel jednego ze sklepów z zabawkami. Stworzył pluszaka, którego nazwał Teddy’s Bear – w tłumaczenie bear to niedźwiedź a Teddy to zdrobnienie imienia prezydenta Teodora. Dodajmy, że pluszowy miś to po kaszubsku miedwiedzk.
