W Kartuzach zlikwidują skatepark – zbudowany jako pierwszy w powiecie obiekt jest w fatalnym stanie.
– Zdaniem władz gminy nadają się tylko do rozbiórki – wyjaśniał burmistrz Kartuz Grzegorz Gołuński.
Skatepark powstał siedem lat temu przy ulicy Chmieleńskiej. Na jego budowę wydano niemal 600 tysięcy złotych, na wysoki koszt wpłynęła konieczność wykonania odwodnienia terenu. To miejsce popularne wśród młodzieży i urządzenia dla rolkarzy i rowerzystów były mocno eksploatowane. Nie wszyscy w samorządzie podzielają jego zdanie. Jak argumentuje radna Irena Roszkowska – po co demontować plac, który spełnia swoje zadanie?
Burmistrz zapowiedział, że cały sprzęt ze skateparku przy Chmieleńskiej odda bezpłatnie sołectwu, które zagwarantuje należyte jego utrzymanie. Mówi się też o utworzeniu podobnego miejsca w Kartuzach – na razie bez konkretów wspominane są lokalizacje w Parku Solidarności bądź przy ulicy Sędzickiego.
