Urzędnicy włączają się w obchody światowego dnia FAS
Urzędnicy w wielu miastach na Pomorzu pracują dzisiaj w żółtych koszulkach z napisem „Woda tak, alkohol nie”. W ten sposób włączają się w obchody Światowego dnia FAS, czyli Alkoholowego Zespołu Płodowego.
Kampanię informującą o szkodliwości picia alkoholu w ciąży realizuje na Pomorzu Fundacja „Trzeźwość” z Gdyni. Alkoholowy Zespół Płodowy jest obecnie najczęstszą przyczyną upośledzenia umysłowego występującego u dzieci. Na świat przychodzi więcej niemowląt z FAS niż z zespołem Downa. Dzisiaj o negatywnych skutkach picia alkoholu w ciąży mówią między innymi urzędnicy w Kościerzynie – mówił Rafał Mikołajczyk z kościerskiego MOPS. W Kościerzynie w ramach kampanii jeszcze we wrześniu odbędą się prelekcje w szkołach, a także szkolenia dla położnych, kuratorów sądowych i pracowników socjalnych. Pomorskie Obchody Światowego Dnia FAS odbędą się jutro w Starogardzie Gdańskim.
