Połączą Muzeum II Wojny w Gdańsku z Muzeum Westerplatte i Wojny 1939
Muzeum II Wojny zostanie połączone z Muzeum Westerplatte i Wojny 1939 – ogłosiło Ministerstwo Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego.
W komunikacie na stronie resortu podano, że państwowa instytucja kultury która powstanie z połączenia obu placówek będzie nosić nazwę Muzeum II Wojny Światowej w Gdańsku. Utworzona zostanie 01 grudnia tego roku. Powołano też pełnomocnika do spraw muzeum – funkcję tę będzie pełnił profesor Zbigniew Wawer, historyk specjalizujący się tematyce II wojny światowej, autor książek, artykułów i filmów dokumentalnych. Jak informuje Ministerstwo Kultury – „Z dniem połączenia osoby zatrudnione w łączonych instytucjach kultury staną się pracownikami Muzeum II Wojny Światowej w Gdańsku i zachowają uprawnienia wynikające ze stosunku pracy”.
O zamiarze połączenia dwóch placówek Minister Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego informował w majowym obwieszczeniu. Zgodnie z nim nowa instytucja ma prezentować polskie spojrzenie na drugą wojnę światową.
