Żołnierz zginął podczas ćwiczeń w Gdańsku – sprawę bada Prokuratura Rejonowa w Gdyni Dział do Spraw Wojskowych.
Śledztwo wszczęto w sprawie nieumyślnego spowodowania śmierci zastępcy dowódcy sekcji szturmowej w Jednostce Wojskowej 2305 Gdańsk – czyli GROM. Do zdarzenia doszło 28 sierpnia podczas szkolenia, gdy śmigłowiec Mi 17 podejmował żołnierzy ze statku zacumowanego przy nabrzeżu. Komandos był przypięty do liny zamocowanej do śmigłowca, dostał się między nabrzeże a burtę statku. Zmarł w wyniku odniesionych obrażeń. W wypadku ucierpiał też drugi żołnierz, który spadł na pokład statku – doznał ogólnych potłuczeń i urazu kręgu szyjnego. Prokuratura bada teraz okoliczności tego zdarzenia.
