Żeglarze z Pomorza najlepsi w Olimpiadzie Młodzieży
Żeglarze z Pomorza okazali się najlepsi, wyprzedzając rywali z województwa warmińsko – mazurskiego i mazowieckiego – takim wynikiem zakończyła się w Pucku 22. Ogólnopolska Olimpiada Młodzieży w żeglarstwie.
Podczas dwudniowych regat na wodach Zatoki Puckiej w klasach Opimist i Laser 4.7 rywalizowali zawodnicy z 61. klubów z 14-tu województw. – Frekwencja, jak podaje Łukasz Dubiela z Polskiego Związku Żeglarskiego była zdecydowanie wyższa niż w ubiegłorocznej edycji – ocenia poziom zawodów gość specjalny, brązowy medalista z Londynu w klasie RS:X Przemysław Miarczyński. W klasyfikacji 14. województw najlepsze okazało się pomorskie z dorobkiem 272. punktów, przed warmińsko-mazurskim – 134 punkty i mazowieckim -108. Wśród 61. klubów przodował SKŻ Ergo Hestia Sopot przed MKS Dwójka Warszawa i MKŻ Arka Gdynia. Rywalizacja, według oceny zawodników nie była łatwa. Z bezpłatnych warsztatów żeglarskich prowadzonych podczas regat skorzystało 50 osób. W ten weekend w Pucku odbyły się też Mistrzostwa Polski klasy Puck. Zwyciężył w nich Krzysztof Stromski z załogą, ubiegłoroczny mistrz Artur Piernicki zajął drugie miejsce, a na najniższym stopniu podium stanęła załoga Jacka Ludwiczaka. Rywalizacja była zacięta, o wygranej przesądziły lokaty we wszystkich siedmiu wyścigach rozegranych podczas dwudniowej imprezy.
