Coraz bliżej remontu dworca w Wejherowie
Coraz bliżej do przebudowy dworca kolejowego w Wejherowie. Zabytkowy budynek wypięknieje, zostanie też przystosowany do nowych funkcji. Spółka PKP zakończyła przetarg na wykonawcę prac.
– Dworzec, który powinien być wizytówką miasta, wciąż wyraźnie odstaje od rewitalizowanej okolicy – mówi Jacek Thiel z wejherowskiego starostwa.
O remont 150-letniego budynku samorządy: miejski i powiatowy zabiegały kilkanaście lat. Dworzec ma być gruntownie odświeżony, będzie też pełnić funkcje kulturalne i edukacyjne. Na nieużywanych dotąd, wyższych kondygnacjach ulokowany zostanie dział historii miasta i antropologii kultury kaszubskiej Muzeum Muzyki i Piśmiennictwa Kaszubsko-Pomorskiego. Będzie też tzw.”poczytalnia”, czyli biblioteka z kaszubską literaturą. Remont dworca w Wejherowie ma ruszyć w 2017 roku.
