W gminie Kartuzy będą sprawdzać jak mieszkańcy segregują śmieci. Jeśli okaże się że robią to źle, to odpady nie będą odebrane.
– Właściciel na własny koszt będzie musiał je zutylizować lub posortować raz jeszcze – mówi burmistrz Grzegorz Gołuński.
67 procent mieszkańców gminy deklaruje sortowanie, jednak w rzeczywistości wskaźnik ten sięga jedynie 23 procent. Przez to gmina może mieć problemy z osiągnięciem rygorystycznych wymogów, a mieszkańcy zapłacą więcej. By temu zapobiec, od lipca firma odbierająca śmieci może sprawdzić poprawność segregacji i w razie uchybień zostawić worki z odpadami na posesji.
Jeśli sytuacja będzie się powtarzać gmina może wszcząć postępowanie i naliczyć opłaty jak za śmieci zmieszane.
