Przygotowania do budowy Książnicy prof. Gerarda Labudy w Wejherowie na finiszu – wejherowskie starostwo pozyskało 1 milion 480 tysięcy złotych dotacji z unijnych środków na rozpoczęcie prac.

To 60 procent kosztów wycenianej na ponad 3 miliony 800 tysięcy złotych inwestycji. W konkursie o dotacje konkurencja była duża. Licząca ponad 26 tysięcy woluminów biblioteka profesora Gerarda Labudy trafi do jednego z budynków kompleksu ogrodowego Muzeum Piśmiennictwa i Muzyki Kaszubsko Pomorskiej. Unijna dotacja pozwoli na rozpoczęcie gruntownego remontu tego obiektu. – Prace rozpoczną się najprawdopodobniej na początku września – mówi wejherowska starosta, Gabriela Lisius. Książnica ma być gotowa najpóźniej do czerwca 2018 roku, w budynku będzie się też mieścić informacja turystyczna.
