Ma ona skierować mundurowych w miejsca, które wskażą mieszkańcy, bo to właśnie oni najlepiej wiedzą gdzie boją się posłać swoje dzieci lub wyjść po zmroku. Aby zamówić sobie patrol wystarczy wejść w zakładkę na internetowej stronie wejherowskiej komendy i wysłać zgłoszenie – mailowo bądź w formie krótkiej ankiety. Są one rejestrowane anonimowo, bo jak mówi Anetta Potrykus z Komendy Powiatowej Policji w Wejherowie – chodzi o rozwiązanie nawracających problemów, a nie jednorazową interwencję.
Akcję „Zamów sobie patrol” zapoczątkowano w 2010 roku. Zakładka z ankietą i adresem mailowym znajduje się przy prawym brzegu strony głównej Komendy Powiatowej Policji w Wejherowie – w dziale „Warto zajrzeć”.
