W tym roku może ruszyć budowa Książnicy profesora Gerarda Labudy
Budowa Książnicy profesora Gerarda Labudy w Wejherowie może ruszyć jeszcze w tym roku. O wsparcie inicjatywy do wszystkich pomorskich samorządów apeluje Tomasz Fopke, dyrektor Muzeum Piśmiennictwa i Muzyki Kaszubsko – Pomorskiej.
– Kolejne środki chcemy pozyskać od pomorskich samorządów – zapowiada Tomasz Fopke.
Książnica ma łączyć funkcje nowoczesnej biblioteki i czytelni, a także centrum promocji kultury kaszubskiej. Będą w niej eksponowane pamiątki i bogaty zbiór książek profesora Gerarda Labudy, który był jednym z najwybitniejszych historyków w Polsce. Książnica powstanie w zabytkowych obiektach przy wejherowskim muzeum. Inwestycję dofinansuje Urząd Marszałkowski w Gdańsku.
Dokumentację i kosztorys powstania Książnicy przygotowuje starostwo powiatowe w Wejherowie. Inwestycja ma być zrealizowana do połowy 2018 roku.
