Rumski samorząd przymierza się do rewitalizacji Zagórza – jednej z najbardziej zaniedbanych dzielnic miasta po tzw. Starej Rumi. Pieniędzy na realizację zadania samorządowcy chcą szukać w unijnych funduszach.
– Zadanie nie ograniczy się wyłącznie do odnowy infrastruktury, warunkiem powodzenia jest przede wszystkim rewitalizacja społeczna tej dzielnicy – mówi burmistrz Rumi Michał Pasieczny.
Zniszczona infrastruktura, brak chodników, wysokie bezrobocie i wskaźnik przestępczości – to dzisiejszy obraz Zagórza – dzielnicy miasta usytuowanej nad Galerią Rumia. Szansy na zmianę tego stanu rzeczy rumscy samorządowcy upatrują w Zintegrowanych Inwestycjach Terytorialnych. Po rozmowach z Obszarem Metropolitalnym Gdańsk – Gdynia – Sopot wynegocjowali możliwość aplikowania o niemal 10 milionów złotych. Konkurs na programy Zintegrowanych Inwestycji Terytorialnych zostanie rozpisany prawdopodobnie jesienią bieżącego roku.
