Podsumowano trzecią edycję programu badań PoZdro!
Niemal 4 tys. przebadanych uczniów, ponad pół tysiąca w grupie ryzyka chorób cywilizacyjnych – w Gdyni podsumowano trzecią edycję programu PoZdro!
Badania od marca 2014 roku prowadzili wspólnie gdyński samorząd i Fundacja Medicover, skupiająca się na propagowaniu zdrowego stylu życia. Jak podkreśla wiceprezydent Gdyni, Bartosz Bartoszewicz – program okazał się bezcenną kopalnią wiedzy o stanie zdrowia gdynian. Chwali współpracę z gdyńskim samorządem prezes Fundacji Medicover Marcin Radziwiłł.
W ciągu trzech lat przebadano 3800 uczniów z gdyńskich gimnazjów pod katem diety i kondycji fizycznej – 570 z nich zakwalifikowano do grupy zagrożonych chorobami cywilizacyjnymi, przede wszystkim cukrzycą. – Problem leży przede wszystkim w braku świadomości tak dzieci, jak i rodziców – mówi matka jednego z badanych gimnazjalistów, Małgorzata Siudkowska. PoZdro! to jeden z największych programów tego typu w Europie – w Polsce realizowany jest także w Warszawie, Lublinie oraz Wrocławiu.
