Kierowcy mogą już korzystać z tunelu pod Martwą Wisłą
Tunel pod Martwą Wisłą w Gdańsku otwarty. Jest częścią trasy Słowackiego, kosztował blisko 900 mln zł.
Jego budowa trwała cztery i pół roku, inwestycja w 85 procentach jest dofinansowana z funduszy unijnych. To najdłuższy tunel w Polsce i jedna z największych w ostatnich latach inwestycji w Gdańsku. Przebiega pod Wisłą, w najniższym miejscu ma głębokość prawie 35 metrów. Ma wyprowadzić z centrum miasta ruch ciężarówek i zapewnić szybszy wyjazd w kierunku Warszawy i Elbląga. Jego otwarcie oznacza zmiany w organizacji ruchu w Gdańsku – wprowadzono ograniczenie dla pojazdów powyżej 24 ton. Zakazy stanęły na odcinkach Armii Krajowej, Kartuskiej, Świętokrzyskiej, Podwala Przedmiejskiego, Elbląskiej, Jana z Kolna i na Drodze Zielonej.
Z tunelu pod Martwą Wisłą nie mogą korzystać piesi i rowerzyści. Dla cyklistów przygotowano linię autobusową nr 258 – między węzłami Ku Ujściu a Marynarki Polskiej.
