Międzyszkolny konkurs gastronomiczny Hipolit Chef
Pierś faszerowana z jabłkiem i patatem autorstwa Jakuba Buczkowskiego najlepszym daniem Hipolit Chef. Konkurs Gastronomiczny organizowany przez Zespół Szkół Ponadgimnazjalnych im. Hipolita Roszczynialskiego w Rumi po raz pierwszy rozgrywany był w międzyszkolnej odsłonie.
O laur zwycięzcy, atrakcyjne nagrody i staże w znanych restauracjach rywalizowali uczniowie sześciu placówek: z Gdańska, Wejherowa, Lęborka, Władysławowa oraz gospodarzy z Rumi. Jak podkreślała dyrektor ZSP nr 2 Elżbieta Kałuska – konkurs oprócz walorów edukacyjnych jest też dla uczestników szansą na znalezienie potencjalnego pracodawcy. Dodaje członek zarządu powiatu wejherowskiego Wojciech Rybakowski. Dania oceniano według kilku kryteriów – liczył się smak, estetyka podania i kreatywność. I choć jurorzy bardzo wysoko ocenili poziom konkursu, zdobywca pierwszego miejsca Jakub Buczkowski z rumskiej „dwójki” uważa, że stać go na jeszcze więcej. Mówi zdobywczyni trzeciego miejsca, uczennica lęborskiego Powiatowego Centrum Edukacyjnego Patrycja Potraca. W konkursie wzięło udział łącznie 12 uczestników – 10 panów i dwie panie.
