Świętują 1050 rocznicę chrztu Mieszka I
Pokazy rekonstrukcyjne dawnych Słowian, przedstawienie teatralne i wystąpienia samorządowców – tak 1050 rocznicę chrztu Polski uczczono w powiecie kościerskim.
Gospodarzem obchodów była szkoła podstawowa w Kaliszu i gimnazjum z Dziemian. I choć chrystianizacja dotarła na Pomorze dopiero dwa wieki po Mieszku I, podczas uroczystości podkreślano znaczenie chrztu dla obecnego rozwoju Polski, Kaszub i Europy. Państwowe uroczystości rocznicowe odbędą się dzisiaj w Poznaniu, gdzie zaplanowano orędzie prezydenta Rzeczpospolitej i uroczyste obrady Zgromadzenia Narodowego.
